- All students deserve a safe and non-threatening environment in which a higher level of fitness and physical health may be attained
- All students have the opportunity to do well in physical education courses provided they remain active participants in all course areas
All physical education courses have been chosen keeping in mind that students have differing fitness levels and abilities. Students are not graded on athletic ability; rather they are assessed on the current standards.

- Apply rules and knowledge from study guides, drills, and game play to become skilled in multiple sports activities

- Attend and participate in all class activities, including units and weightlifting (if required)
- Appropriate warm-up and stretching activities are expected as well
- Students must stay active the entire class period (The responsibility is on the student to remain active, not the instructor)
- Dress in school approved uniform
- Maintain an appropriate level of respect for peers, instructor and self
- Exhibit sportsmanship in all aspects of class
