The classes offered by the English Department at Little Chute High School prepare students for the literacy demands of the information age. Reading, writing, speaking and listening are the foundational skills that citizens of the digital age need in order to thrive. Every English class develops all of those skills individually and in combination. Human communication is rich, varied, and complex; it isn’t a given that students will have the capacity to participate in all of its often-changing forms without the kind of literacy learning that is done in our classrooms.
