Family & Consumer Education Teacher Email Phone: 920-788-7600 Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences! I am Mrs. Scheeler and I have been at Little Chute High School for over 20 years! The courses I teach include: Introduction to Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts 2, Baking & Pastry Arts, Multi-Cultural Foods, Introduction to Education & Human Services, Education & Human Services 2, Individuals, Schools, & Society, Independent Living, Introduction to Fashion & Design, Fashion & Design, 2, Health Related Careers, and People Skills for the Healthcare Professional. I am also the Student Council Advisor and a Co Advisor to Sources of Strength.
My Family and Consumer Sciences journey began at Wausau High School when, as a student, I took a Foods class that peeked my interest. From there, I took every course the FCS department had to offer! I attended the University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point where I studied Family and Consumer Science. I have a BS degree in Home Economics Education and a Master’s degree in Teaching and learning from Nova Southwestern University in Florida. I am licensed to teach K-12 Family and Consumer Sciences as well as 9-12 Health Education.
I am married to Jesse and we have 3 children; Olivia, Joseph, and Ella. We also have a Golden Retriever named Boone and two cats named Pablo and Phoebe. I enjoy camping, gardening, SHOPPING, spending time with my family, playing cards with friends, and teaching!
I want all students to feel safe and comfortable in my classroom where they can strive to be the best the person and student they can be! I want students to leave my classroom having learned concepts they can apply to their everyday lives. Most importantly, I want my students to know how much I care about them as human beings.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions that you may have. You may email me for the quickest response, but feel free to contact me at school as well.
I am excited about this school year and am looking forward to a year full of learning and fun!
