The Little Chute Area School District is a Professional Learning Community that focuses on four questions:
- What is it we expect our students to learn?(Curriculum & Instruction)
- How will we know when students have learned it? (Assessment)
- How will we respond when they don't learn? (Differentiated Instruction & Intervention)
- How will we respond when they already know it? (Differentiated Instruction & Enrichment)
In maintaining this Professional Learning Community, the District has adopted a Curriculum Development & Renewal Process to establish rigorous expectations of proficiency for students at each grade level. Programs are developed to meet the needs of individual students within the classroom and are aligned with State of Wisconsin adopted academic standards.
The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department oversees the development and implementation of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices, and staff development related to Professional Learning Community goals and Response to Intervention/Instruction.
