The Flex Academy is a tuition free public charter school serving the Fox Cities area. Our public school serves students in grades K-8 using an innovative blended approach with a focus on personalized learning, health and wellness education, and service learning. We incorporate digital curriculum, every student receives a Chromebook, a minimum of 2 face to face days with state-certified teachers and a maximum of 3 at home learning days with a Learner Coach. Teachers will collaboratively work side-by-side students and parents to engage in academic experiences from a range of locations including home, within the community, and at school.
Flexible Environment and Schedule
Flex Academy parents serve as Learner Coaches for their children's day-to-day activities. A learner coach is an adult in your child's life and is a pivotal piece in the education of each student and thus requires a time commitment to working one-on-one with student(s), at home on a weekly basis. Teachers organize and deliver instructional content, administer assessments and provide enrichment during days students are at the Flex Academy. Also, teachers provide goals, resources and online curriculum for at home days.
The Flex Academy allows families more flexibility in their schedules. This flexibility allows for YMCA, art, music and individual interest programming during “home days”. The Flex Academy staff works with each family to ensure a successful schedule and academic success.
