Title I Information
Welcome to the Title One home page for the Little Chute Area School District. Title One reading services are offered at Little Chute Elementary School and Little Chute Intermediate School for students in kindergarten through grade six and St. John's School for students in kindergarten through grade four.
Purpose
The purpose of the Title One program is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. More information can be found on the National Center for Education Statistics website.
Mission
The mission of the Title One program for the Little Chute Area School District is to enable all children to meet high academic standards, to promote active involvement by parents in the child's education, to increase the expertise of staff through staff development opportunities, and to instill in students a life-long love of reading.
Who can participate in Title 1 instruction?
Any student in kindergarten through grade six who is in need of supplemental reading services is a potential candidate. Many sources of data, including teacher referrals, school level assessments such as iReady and F&P, and other early reading assessments at younger grades are among those currently utilized to identify potential students. Students are assessed to determine eligibility. Review our School-Wide Plan for more information.
