The LCMS Jazz Ensemble provides band students in grades 7 and 8 an outlet to expand their musical horizons. Students learn how to play various styles of music including jazz, rock, swing and blues. In addition, students have the opportunity to improvise on their instrument; a crucial element in jazz music. Students involved in this ensemble perform for the Winter and Spring Concerts in addition to a couple of casual performances during the lunch hour.
