Greetings! My Name is Sam Appleton and I teach Social Studies at the Middle School here in Little Chute.  This will be my sixth year teaching at Little Chute and I look forward to working in such a great community.  This term I will be teaching four sections of 8th grade Social Studies and two RTI/Core Extension periods. In addition to teaching, I am also a Middle School boys basketball coach and a head Middle School track coach in the spring. I also stay involved with co-curricular activities such as school dances, as a student council advisor, forensics coach, and ski-club advisor. I look forward to getting to know all of my students and sharing my love of Social Studies with you. I will focus on teaching students the skills and information that is necessary to becoming a globally conscious and competent citizen in our ever-changing and diverse world. I hope to instill a thirst for knowledge and foster the growth of each individual to transition to the next level of their education and lives. I welcome student input and hope to build a relationship in and out of the classroom with each learner.

Personally, I love spending time with friends and family and I am an avid sports fan. I also love to read fiction and non-fiction books and I enjoy exploring with my dog Lambeau. Feel free to stop in and talk reading or Packer football or Mustang sports anytime! I am looking forward to this school year!
