Welcome to Little Chute Intermediate/Middle School
Thank you for taking time to visit the Little Chute Intermediate/Middle School site. Every day at LCIS/MS is a great day for learning and we are very proud of our students, staff, and beautiful facilities. Our school has approximately 400 students in Grades 5-8 and our staff works very hard to meet the individual needs of the learners in their classrooms.
The intermediate and middle school years are important in the transition of a child to a young adult. We are excited to be able to provide an Intermediate School to help students prepare for the transition to Middle School, and then prepare our Middle School students to transition to LCHS. Parents, staff, and administration work closely together throughout the intermediate and middle school years to help students learn to develop independence and responsibility. Students are taught the skills necessary to become contributing members of society. We are proud of our students' involvement in the community, whether it is for their community service hours, or volunteering to participate in a Random Acts of Kindness activity supervised by our staff. We are always looking for ways to make our school even better and our staff is always working to make this the best learning environment for each and every student.
The curriculum at our Intermediate and Middle School not only consists of the core subject areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts, but also includes required encore classes that vary at each grade level. Electives are available and include Band 6-8, Choir 7-8, 8th Hands-On Science, 8th Digital Media, Art 8, Spanish 8, Theater, and Bell Choir. Students are provided with opportunities to participate in athletics and other numerous co-curricular activities offered throughout the school year.
I feel very fortunate to work in a district that truly makes decisions based upon what is best for the students. Please feel free to stop at our school anytime to see the great things that are going on in our building. It is truly a great place to be!
