Thank you for visiting our Little Chute Intermediate/Middle School Webpage to learn more about our school. At Little Chute Intermediate/Middle School, we have approximately 400 students in Grades 5-8. Starting in the 2011-2012 school year, we now have a 5/6 Intermediate School and a 7/8 Middle School in the same building. Our 5th and 6th Grade is structured similar to an elementary school, where students have a homeroom teacher and for the most part they spend the majority of their day with that teacher and in the same room. At the 6th grade level our students begin to move to different rooms and teachers to help with the transition to middle school, where they will have 7 different classes throughout the day. Both 5th and 6th Grade will have a block of time each day set aside to work on literacy skills. Intermediate students have an hour encore block each day which includes Vocal Music, Physical Education, Computer, Art, or Wellness. 6th Grade students can also choose to participate in Band, which is offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays after school.

Throughout the school day, our 7/8 Middle School students have 4 Core classes in Math, Science, Social Studies and English Language Arts. In addition, students also rotate through Encore classes each term. Those Encore classes include the following for 7th Grade:  Art, Robotics, Spanish, and Music. All 7th Grade students have Physical education every other day and Practical Living or Problem Solving every other day. They also have a 48 minute Reading class every day. Our 8th Grade students have the following Encore Classes: Reading, Technology Education, and Business Math. They also have Physical Education and Health Education every other day. In addition, at the 8th Grade Level, students have electives in Spanish, Art, Digital Media, Hands-On Science, Bell Choir, and Theater.

Each day, our students have the opportunity to start out their day with a nutritious breakfast as our doors open at 7:15 each day. Students love to come in early, sit with their friends and socialize, and start out their day on a positive note with breakfast.

Our Intermediate school day runs from 7:45-2:50 and our Middle School day starts at 7:45 and ends at 3:07. Our LMC is open Monday through Thursday until 4:00 for students to complete their homework, do research for classes, or simply read a book or magazine if they choose.

We are very proud of our school and all it has to offer. We have state of the art facilities, a terrific and caring staff, great parent and community support, and wonderful students to work with. We are committed to preparing our students for the 21st Century and to help them develop into respectful young adults.

Please feel free to stop by and see the great things happening in our school.

Remember "The Road to Success Begins at LCIS/MS".
