WELCOME TO LITTLE CHUTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!

Little Chute Elementary School (LCES) is a wonderful learning environment for children. Our school provides educational services for students in early childhood through grade four. Thanks to the support of our community, our school board, and our dedicated and creative staff, the school building is a warm and welcoming place for children and families.  Recent renovations to the school have resulted in additional learning space, a beautiful cafeteria, new playground areas, and a safe and secure learning environment. Our technological advances ensure that we are producing 21st century learners who are able to adapt to the rapidly changing world. Smart Board Technology, which allows for a creative and interactive environment, is available in our kindergarten through fourth grade classrooms as well as in music, art, and library media skills.

At LCES, we have high academic and behavior expectations for our students. We believe in a strong curriculum and a purposeful learning environment that challenges students to perform at a high level. We are fortunate to have half-day four-year-old kindergarten and full-day kindergarten which provide early educational experiences and early intervention to young children. We have an active literacy program to ensure that students meet established benchmarks in the areas of reading and written language. LCES offers an integrated curriculum across subject areas and has specialized staff to teach music, art, physical education, library media skills, and computer skills. LCES also has comprehensive support programs through our Special Education, Title One reading, and English Language Learner Programs for students who require additional instructional services within the school environment.

In addition to providing an outstanding learning environment for children, LCES focuses on developing the "whole child." Our core values at LCES are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Staff and parents work collaboratively to instill these values into our children and regularly acknowledge children who demonstrate our core values. Our pupil service team, which includes a school counselor, a school psychologist, a school nurse, and a police-school liaison, assist staff and parents in maximizing student learning and promoting school adjustment.

Finally, parent involvement and support are a critical component at LCES. We have a strong and supportive Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which plans many events for children and families and provides financial support to supplement student learning. We encourage parent volunteers to assist in the classroom and have partnered with the PTA to organize a parent volunteer program. We have a parent resource center, with computer access and parent reading materials, which provides a place for parents to learn and to relax. We like parents to get to know us personally, to visit our school, and to get involved in activities.

If you have any questions or if you would like additional information about LCES, please call 788-7610 or stop by the main office. We would be happy to discuss with you the many wonderful things LCES has to offer.
